"Lincoln the Debater Statue" is located in Taylor Park.

The Freeport Park District maintains over 770 acres of parkland in eight parks, a nature preserve, and wetlands preserve. Additionally, the district operates the Park Hills Golf Course, with two 18-hole courses. Stretching north from Freeport, Illinois, to the Wisconsin state line, the Jane Addams Trail is a historic and natural wonder. This multi-use 15 mile recreational trail offers beautiful scenery and is highlighted by 21 decked bridges passing wetlands, creeks, woods, prairies, geologic formations and farmland.

You can explore the six permanent exhibits at the Freeport Arts Center or visit the Americana and antique machinery exhibits at the Silver Creek Museum. The Winneshiek Players provide quality, live theater each season and are the oldest continuous amateur theater in the country. The Ferguson Fine Arts Theater, located on the campus of Highland Community College, features a variety of vocal and music concerts, live theater, and special performances.
